About Us
Our Story
Freedom Church launched on March 3rd, 2002 at the Hendersonville High School Auditorium after a vision from God, a year of plans and preparation. The first service had 159 people and that was the start of seeing lives changed through Loving God, Loving Others, and Serving the World. Freedom purchased 15 1/2 acres of land in October of 2004 (where our current campus is). In fall of 2005, we were still in the high school setting up and tearing down the ministry each weekend when the former principle retired and a new one took over. We were ask to vacate using the facility as soon as possible.
Freedom quickly kicked into high gear building our first phase facility. We entered the new building on the first Sunday in December of 2006 with 150 in attendance. We promoted a grand opening for January 14, 2007 and 420 were in attendance. Freedom quickly outgrew it's new church building. A second service was added that Easter. Attendance had went from the 70's and 80's in the high school to averaging almost 300 by the end of 2007. Freedom added a Saturday night service on Easter weekend 2008 and are currently still hosting those three services.
The church has now exceeded 600 people in weekend attendance, but most of all seeing hundreds of lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. The church recently finished building the new children's addition. The grand opening of this addition took place during Easter weekend of 2011.
