“For God so loved the world, He gave His one and only son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” -John 3:16

God loved us so much and wanted a relationship with us, so much that he sent his own son, Jesus, to die and bridge the gap between us and Him. Jesus lived a perfect life, and made a sacrifice by hanging on the cross, taking every sin you and I have made and will commit. He then was resurrected from the dead–proving Himself God and that He has the authority to save us from falling to eternal death.

Believe in the Lord Jesus

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn't obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgement. John 3:36

Call Upon the Name of Jesus

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Acts 2:21

… Indeed the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

Confess Jesus as Savior

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10

Lay Aside Wickedness

So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. James 1:21

Giving your life to Jesus is the greatest decision you could ever make.

By doing so, through salvation, you are no longer the same. You are making a statement that from this point on, you are living a life sold-out to Jesus Christ, giving up your old, sinful ways, habits, and hangups. The "old you" is gone and the "new you" is born. We represent this through baptism, your next step after salvation in Christ.
