Lead Pastor - Terrell Somerville
God gave Terrell the “vision” for Freedom Church and he accepted the challenge for a new church plant in 2000. Terrell is the founding pastor. Today, Freedom Church is in its first phase building on 15 acres of property in one of the most growing areas in middle Tennessee . He is a graduate of Oakland City University with a degree in Religious Arts and has also graduated from the Christian Training Institute. Terrell firmly believes in the power of the Word of God to change lives. Therefore, he is a careful student of the Word of God, preaching it to meet the needs of every day living. Previously he has served in various churches as senior pastor and as youth pastor. He and his wife Shanda have three daughters; Lily , India and Chloe.

Worship Leader - Lance Johnson
Lance Johnson has served in ministry for 9 years. During that time his primary ministry has been that of pastor/church planter. After serving in Paducah , Kentucky for 5 years, Lance and his family have moved here to serve Freedom Church as Pastor of Worship. God has blessed him with musical talent and the gift of leadership, which is proving to be a blessing for our church. Along with 16 years of musical experience, he brings with him a passion for God and a heart for service and worship.
Lance and his wife of 7 years Heather have three sons, Lucas 5, Landen 2, and Heath 2.

Student Ministry Pastor - Dustin and Melissa Thompson
Dustin and Melissa Thompson serve Freedom Church in the FC Student Ministry from new born through twelth grade. They believe that in the Freedom family, just like your family, the children are most important. Their goal is for children to have fun in a creative atmosphere while learning about Jesus Christ. Dustin and Melissa both hold degrees in education, and Dustin is a graduate of Christian Training Institute. They are married and share their home with, Dodger, their Jack Russell terrorist!!!

Care Pastor - Chad Dunning
Chad Dunning serves as care pastor of Freedom Church. His passion is to meet the needs of people in and associated with his church family. He always has a heart to visit those who may be shut in or in the hospital and desires to exhibit God's love in practical ways by praying for and being present with people during times of their greatest need.
His friendly face can always be seen with a smile. From the front door of the church all the way back to the FC Kids ministry where he serves faithfully each week, Chad's heart is to serve God's church in whatever way possible. He and his wife Michelle are both Portland natives and have one son, Nolan.

Financial Administrator - Trudy Conover
Trudy Conover has been part of the Freedom Church family since the very beginning. She serves the church as the Financial Administrator. Trudy is a lifelong resident of Sumner Country and has been married to her husband Floyd for 12 years. She also has 2 children.
Trudy has a heart to serve. Her “whatever it takes” attitude is what makes her great at what she does for Freedom Church.
